This is the tenth annual plein air competition event held at Grand Marais. As date approaches, more detailed information will be supplied.

The Pine City Arts Council will have a booth at the county fair to share traditional and fine art demonstrations. I hope to do a demonstration on my handmade pastels along with a pastel demo.

The Plein Air Convention & Expo in the Red Rock's of Nevada promises to be a historical part of today's plein air movement as hundreds of painters gather to learn, paint, visit with friends, fine tune their skills, and mingle with the top painters in the world.

Art competiton with only 30% of work accepted for the show. "Lilacs" made the show.

Artwork will be displayed in the Coho Cafe in Tofte, MN during the month of June. Take a ride and view the spectacular North Shore and stop to have a bite to eat at the Coho Cafe and enjoy the display of my paintings.

“Exploring the Intersection between the North Shore Environment & Inner Spiritual Terrain”

Biophilia means human affinity for nature and the living world. As physical/spiritual beings, we are drawn to certain environments that deeply affect us. For many, the North Shore is that kind of landscape which roots us in something greater and more meaningful.

In this themed show and sale, we invite artists to use the media of choice to explore the interplay between the geographical outer world and the inner spiritual terrain.

This will be a show displaying the paintings created while at the Winter Paintout along the Boundary Water Wilderness area.

This Outdoor Painting Festival celebrates the serene beauty of the winter landscape in the Boundary Waters Wilderness and the color white.

Artists stay at the YMCA Camp Menogyn where they get 3 hot meals a day and unlimited coffee and hot chocolate.  Gorgeous landscapes are just out the front door!
